Acts of Parliament - free sources

• Office of Public Sector Information - unamended general public acts (1988 onward), local acts (1991 onwards)and statutory instuments (1987 onwards).  There are also selected earlier ones.
• Statute Law Database - amended (updated) acts and statutory instuments currently in force or in force as at any date from  1 February 1991. The SLD is not completely up to date.  All revised legislation on SLD should be updated with effects of legislation made up to 2002.  A warning notice will appear in the "Results within Legislation" page in cases where an Act has not been fully updated. This lists the years for which there are outstanding amendments. In addition there are "Tables of Legislative Effect" which identify the repeals and amendments not yet applied to the databases.
