Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS)
The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies is a postgraduate research institute which is part of the University of London, though funded as a national facility for researchers from all universities. Its Library is one of the largest legal research libraries in the world. The collection is noted for foreign and international law, but also covers EU law and the law of the UK and its dependencies. For more information, see the Library Catalogue,
IALS Library provides a document delivery service for subscribing law firms, barristers’ chambers and other organisations. Documents are sent by email. Items ordered on the standard service go out the same day if ordered before 12 noon and the express service sends copies out within the hour. Subscribers also have access to the Library for reference use and may use a dedicated telephone enquiry line.
A separate document delivery service is available to academics and students – see http://ials.sas.ac.uk/library/aservice/adelivery.htm
