Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal - decisions
The Findings and Orders of the SDT are published in the Law Society Gazette (look for the SDT section under Regulars in the contents list), in print and online at https://www.lawgazette.co.uk - on the home page, scroll down and click on SDT and SRA Interventions Latest to access the latest decisions.
The Finding is the judgment of the Tribunal and the Order is what is actually decided - fine, reprimand, severe reprimand or struck off.
Online, judgments can be accessed at The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal website at http://www.solicitorstribunal.org.uk/. Presently the site hosts PDFs for cases dating back to 1999 (FAQs on the site state 2002).
Note: The SDT does not provide written transcripts of cases; however audio recordings are available to parties to a case, and may also be supplied where the case was not heard in private, and where such release has not otherwise been prohibited by the Tribunal. Applications must be made by post to the address specified in the FAQ section of the SDT website: http://www.solicitorstribunal.org.uk/faqs.
